FLASHBACK FRIDAY

This Flashback Friday will be on Thursday, (as I will be out of town on Friday)
I wanted to dedicate this FF to the great times I have had on family vacations. Not to belittle the word happy or try and be funny, but some of the best memories I have, were times spent with my loved ones...yes, at one of the "Happiest Places on Earth".... Disneyland/Disney World/Disney Cruise". So, just for the good old times, with Mickey and Friends...this is for my family.
Here are some photos/memories, from times past....

One of the best treats on our Disney Cruise was to watch the launch of the Space Shuttle "Discovery", from the Cruise Ship(Cape Canaveral was right by our Port that we left from)we had front row seats out in the ocean!...It was a "once in a life time experience"...and we were so blessed to share it as a family. I will never forget it!

DISNEYLAND for 8 year birthdays...One of our family traditions is to take our grand kids to Disneyland when they turn 8. It is just Papa, Nana and the 8 year old grandchild. It is "their" special time, with us. They plan the whole day at Disneyland and we just have a great time. So, far we have taken Brigham(2007) and Hunter (2008) and Elle Kate and Brandon go at separate times this year...too much fun, we love it!

I love this time of year!

I am realizing in my old age how much of a flip-flop, capri girl that I am! I was so glad to put away the closed toed shoes and the SOCKS, long pants, and nylons! Just to think about putting on socks right now, makes me want to sweat(okay, I wear socks with my gym shoes, but that doesn't count). I guess after living in Hawaii, and California and of course most of my life in Arizona, I am a sunshine, beachy, balmy, weather person....I'm, not saying I love Arizona Summers, (that's a separate blog all together). I just love sunshine and the last 2 months here, have been beautiful! Pedicures are a treat for me and I even keep them up in the winter. So, what do you think...flip-flops or shoes? Just wondering.....

TEA ANYONE?

Today my friend Rhonda and her daughter Kristen and I attended a "Tea Party" in our little town, ...we were so excited when we drove up....so many people there.... yes! They must all fell the same way we do. It was such a comfort to know that my concerns of all the "stuff' that has been going on in our Nation, that had been causing me so much frustration, wasn't just my worries alone... it had obviously, affected a lot of other people in the same way. Here we all were together standing up for what we believed in and having a vehicle/venue where our voices could be shared and heard...
What are these Tea Parties about?
Glenn Beck, had this to say about the Tea Parties and I agree...

"It's about, spending- too much spending!
It's about, burdening me and my loved ones (our children and grandchildren) with a huge debt over $12 trillion!
It's about, too much power to our Federal Gov't.
It's about, too much corruption in both political parties.
It's about hypocrisy - both parties claim to be the most ethical, but we get corruption from both sides, and no one in Washington speaks out against it!....
It's about the media that gets into bed with one party and has moved so far left that it can't even begin to see we're not extremists, we're moms and dads who just want to have a Republic for our children; but they can't see it....
I believe in the Constitution. I believe in the Founding Fathers. I believe in the American People. When did believing those things make someone-anyone-an extremist.
I am(we are) not the extremist."

Here are some photos from our Town Tea Party...it was great to be there and feel a unity and hope for a better future for all of us, all of us that, care about the future of our wonderful Country!
The homemade signs were great!

Rhonda and Kristen

May we always be able to stand for what we believe in and let our voices be heard!
